Only hotel in Arganil. Clean rooms feasibly priced good Aircon and a nice breakfast. First floor bar and memories of the Rally de Portugal which returns in May 2019. Sr Ventura (owner) is a real gentleman and a pleasure to talk to (in Portuguese!)

This sweet classic hotel is run by a delightful family. It is very clean and includes a nice breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, all kinds of bread and pastries, dry cereals, yogurt, espresso, various jams and honey. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. There is a nice bar onsite, along with a spacious lounge and small outdoor patio. Our only real complaint would be the seemingly constant noise with the TV's turned on in the bar and lounge and the neighboring dog barking a lot. However, they have no control over the neighbor's dog and it seems to be the norm in Portugal that TV's are always on in restaurants and bars. Overall, a nice stay. The owners' son personally drove us around to various local restaurants to orient us to the options, and all of his recommendations were great!
