Great little restaurant with outside seating on the square. The menu is written up on a chalkboard inside, and offers a range of seafood and meat dishes. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, offering to help us choose.
We had the bread and cheese to start, and then grilled sardines and octopus stew, all of which was absolutely delicious! We washed it down with a large glass of white wine each. Total bill €36.
It's not a fancy place, but if you're looking for good food with friendly service then I'd recommend stopping by.
Not much to say about this place. Just a place to take a bite if you need to. Not good, not bad, just normal. I cannot recommend it but I will not say to stay away from it. Portions for me were too small, prices regular, and taste just normal, the service was very kind and friendly
This is the best place to get Cracas in São Miguel. It's not cheap, and it's not fancy, and the menu is limited, but every single thing you order from here will be traditional and delicious. Get the Cracas, the morcela, chouriço , and make sure you also order a lot of bread. lapas are pretty good too. Good albeit basic wine selection (but very cheap so can't complain !)
A nice tavern with friendly people.
Don’t go here, they’ll try to rip you off. The waiter offered some bread with local cheese for starters, on the menu clearly priced at €2,80. When inspecting the bill they put €1 for the bread plus €6 for the two small pieces of (cheap) local cheese. When confronting the waiter he even put up a little theatre show with (presumably) the owner. He removed €2 from the bill, which I obviously did not agree to. I had to take his pen, scratch out their little scheme, and put the correct price to get them to realize that I was not going to be ripped off. Shame on them.
