O Charco

We arrived late afternoon on a Wednesday in February after trying to find somewhere to eat. It is in a good location, the staff where friendly age said they were still open and happy to serve us. Olives and bread and local goats cheese where brought to the table, this was later charged to us so just be aware. We ordered the omlette which came with salad and chips. It was a good size portion. It was the only thing on the menu we could understand to order. Good food, good snack, good service. The restaurant is dated but clean, tho the toilet didn't have a seat in the ladies which was a little strange for me. Can't fault the staff, very welcoming and friendly but not pushy or in the way. The quality of the Sapateira has dropped a lot. We paid 33 euros for one that almost all the filling was boiled egg (I guess to camouflage the flavor) and the legs were very dry. It's a shame because I've always liked to go but the last two times the food has left a lot to be desired Note that the staff is friendly and quick in service but loses a lot in the quality of the product. You will have to try other restaurants in the area.

Vou ao restaurante O Charco com os meus pais há cerca de 15 anos, apenas provei um prato de lá mas foi um prato que me chamou para lá todos estes anos, Carne de Porco à Alentejana. Só não dou 5 estrelas pois foi o único prato que provei

It is a family-run restaurant right on the passage to the beach point, the service was very attentive and caring, the food was delicious and the price-performance ratio was absolutely okay. The menu is only available in Portuguese.

Não visitei mas ao passar na rua têm numa extração que vinha de lá um fumo de peixe assado, virem a extração para cima ok
