Pingo Doce Vila Real de Santo António

Easy to find, good parking facilities. Although it would be better with a different exit to entrance for cars. The store is compact, narrow aisles making any form of social distancing difficult. The area around the fresh vegetables and salads is very narrow, difficult for a trolley to pass through when you have to stop and choose your produce. The check out assistant was helpful and polite. Maybe it's just the time of year but I found Pingo Doce very cramped for space and not particularly cheap although there is a good range of produce.

Quite a line outside but better than the chaos in store last week. It was possible to distance inside but they've stopped wiping down the till area between customers now. Good range of stock, great bread and cafe or take away if you want it.

Nice selection of Portuguese products: wine, cheese, coffee and so on. There's a self-service restaurant where you can have a nice meal for 6 or 7 euros. Very popular with Spaniards.

Great supermarket from a very popular chain, very well located by N125 Road (which crosses all Algarve) and with a nice and free parking lot. It has a great offering, with all products one needs, including loads of fresh fruits and vegetables, at low prices.

gets really busy at times, but good option for a variety of goods, food only. Ok eat in restaurant.
