The church is not worth a single penny, the small museum is okay, but as a non-native only if you ask for a tablet with a translated text ... if you want to see a nice church, go to Vila do Bispo

Several years ago I drove by here several times. You can not stop right on the N125. I searched the driveway days later and visited this beautiful little church. Not pompous and spectacular, simple and yet very nice. In 2018 I was here again. There has been a lot of outdoor work over the years and it looks better now. Also a blackboard with a little information is now available.

A little known gem. Its simplicity of lines and proportions is its main value, as well as its scarce but wonderful decoration. It has a small interpretation center next to it. To visit it you have to pay. We went with the sunset and the lighting was great.

Oldest Christian building in the Algarve. The church is very empty and rather poorly equipped. For the price of € 2 per person, the visit is only partially worthwhile. The museum next door is unfortunately only in Portuguese and not really an eye-catcher. Those who are interested in old buildings with history are completely satisfied with the church and the appropriate background knowledge.

A quiet and peaceful place by the road. To see the church inside you have to buy a ticket ... Quo Vadis Europo?
