VMT Madeira - Catamaran Trips

Our dolphin and whale spotting trip exceeded all expectations. We followed dolphins as they swam with the ship, we came within about 20m of a sperm whale which came to check us out, AND we had a bonus moment where local marine biologists had chosen our trip to release a turtle back into nature. Perfect, could not have hoped for more. I wish I'd brought a towel so I could've taken part in the coastal swim with fishes too!

Nice trip along the Funchal coastline with dolphin spotting - awesome! However, we had prefered looking for additional sealife rather than cruising close go land back home.

Great way to see sea life. Didn't like the look of those speedboat whale tours, especially since it was February so went with the internet recommendation of doing a slightly more leisurely catamaran trip and had a great time, we saw two types of dolphin (bottlenose and common), loggerhead turtles (one baby, one bigger), pilot whales, beaked whales and a mother and calf fin whale. You don't always see that many were were told but the boats all communicate sitings to each other, so I think you almost always get to see something. And the boat was really comfy and the crew friendly and knowledgeable. Obrigado!

I got to see blue nose, bottle nose and spotted dolphins, which was amazing. The staff were great. Unfortunately no whales spotted

We went on the half day trip on the catamaran to see the whale & dolphins. The crew were pleasant & professional. We saw both the dolphins & a pod of pilot whales plus one sperm whale & a couple of turtles. We had the best time & would highly recommend this trip.
