Madeira Trail Tours

After eating and drinking too much of Madeira's fantastic food and wine, I decided I needed some exercise. Booking was easy and quick via email, available the very next day. Dino is very friendly and knowledgeable, having grown up in Madeira provided heaps of local knowledge and is obviously a very experienced trail runner. I was a bit apprehensive about the amount of ascent on even the easy run we did from Poiso, but Dino let me set the pace and we walked the particularly steep bits, stopping here and there to catch my breath and take in the stunning views. I was picked up at 9 and was back in the hotel by 12.30, spent about 2h15min running 14km and 500m ascent. Amazing experience all round and if you like running, a great way to see some of the more remote trails you wouldn't find without a local. Thanks for a great morning out!

Dino our guide for the sunrise guided walk to Pico do Arieiro was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, attentive and honestly just a lovely person. We were very lucky on our walk because the weather couldn't have been better in winter. Saw the sunrise above the clouds and not a single drop of rain that day. Dinarte is a very nice person. He was very flexible and prepared. After the tour he took us in a longer and nicer way to the hotel to show us more from the island. :)

Wonderful experience! I did 2 trail runs with Dinarte (Peaks et Fanal). He is a guide with whom you can feel completely confident, he knows the paths perfectly well and adapts his pace to any runner/hiker. Plus, you spend a good time and learn lots of things discussing with him. It's a different way (the best!) to discover the island, whatever your level is. You can NOT be disappointed!

The experience was awesome. To choose the tour you want is a perfect opportunity and Dino did the best he can to make it unforgettable. I enjoyed our walk to the pico ruivo and back. He give me so many information about the nature around and answer all of my questions about land an people. Thank you so much !
