We were actually looking for another tapas place when we stumbled across Arcada. It looked nice so we decided to give it a try. Glad we did! Quirky, well designed space with a great ambiance. Loved the cheese grater light fixtures! Our waiter was really friendly, guiding us through the menu and helping us select an appropriate wine. A really enjoyable evening.

Thought we'd give it a try based on convenience and reviews. But the waiter, the cook and the manager must have had an "off" night: all the food we ordered came way too salty. The service was surly and condescending. The waiter lied to us by saying "tap water is dangerous here; it comes from the river and it's not clean...". When we asked to do a taste test comparing the bottled water with the tap water, he got mean and nervous. (Turns out the water tasted exactly the same and further inquiry taught us that the tap water and river water are both excellent quality.) Everything we ordered tasted as though it had been preserved in salt and then brushed off before serving. I could not eat more than one bite. The kooky waiter didn't seem surprised, just miffed. There are too many other restaurant choices for this one to be able to survive.

Really nice place and food. The portions are quite big. So I got a cheese platter and a mozzarella olive bruschetta which in fact a slice of bread and therefore quite big. The service is really nice and the waiter happy to talk and explain everything you want to know. The menu is available in different languages that makes it easy for travelers to understand. I can definitely recommend.
