The best ‘sopa da pedra’ you’ll ever taste! O Peleiro excels at this super traditional Portuguese dish - perfect for winter days. Plus all their cooking is incredible - one of my favourites ever!

Pretty much the restaurant you want to find when strolling around the Portuguese countryside. In a small village this restaurant has an amazing cuisine. When you go in, you can see a typical medium-sized Portuguese restaurant, with lots of tables and lack of space between them. It's a code environment, but once you start trying the food it gets even better. The tuna pâté is amazing, and the chorizo and cheese are great. I had a shrimp and squid "espetada" that were incredibly tasty and the side dishes were also very good. To finish, I tried the egg pudding and the coffee sweet. I wanted more of them both. It was a shame, I couldn't try the chocolate mousse. Definitely would want to go back!
