Very nice place at the river and friendly staff. Unfortunately, management uses Corona Crisis as an excuse for good service. No dinner, room service only every second day and 400 m walk for the pool as well for breakfast place as only one breakfast place served, no enough deck-chairs at the pool, burdensome forms in pdf-format that you are forced to fill out and email before arrival, check in only after 17:00 but check out before 09.00 (!), etc., etc. ... During our trip in Portugal we have seen many lodgements more innovative and service oriented although COVID-19. Rooms humid and smelly rooms not ventilated during the day, a bathroom (including toilet) only separated by a limited glas wall; no privacy doing your business at all... We felt ripped off for what you get. However the nature is very nice there. Unfortunately, no view from the balcony of the room...

The view is incredible and there is a private way to the river, which is gorgeous. The breakfast is simple, but filling. The decoration of the room is adorable and the kitchen is well equipped with all required appliances. There was a complementary cake in the kitchen which was delicious. Easy parking. Perfect for privacy and relaxing. The staff is pleasant. The pool showed signals of poor cleaning and maintenance with green marks along the side and dead bugs. Due to the pandemic, I was requested to pick up a box with the breakfast (this should be delivered to the room) and found other tourists having breakfast in the breakfast area and not in the rooms. The box also needed to be returned to the same spot. Ideally the boxes would be delivered to the room and the same rules would apply to all guests. There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms. The mattress is slightly hard. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom.

Staying here was truly a pleasure. The peaceful area with no traffic and only good views, the nights full of stars and a warm stay. Our staff was very polite and cleaning was done good and swiftly. If you are looking for the perfect little get-away then I would definitely recommend this!

Great to relax, very close to town, beautiful views

The view is spectacular. The house was lovely. The pool looked good. It is on a hill and very windy. We were rather cold, which was a first in the Alentejo. However, this is wrongly sold as "Turismo Rural", which means a place that is rural, welcoming and makes us feel cared for and a bit spoilt. It is not welcoming or warm. It does not have lovely food for breakfast, mostly home cooked. This was basic. We were asked roughly every day if we wanted scrambled eggs, which were definitely not abundant for 4 people, nor tasty. That was the only cooked food. In terms of cereals, there were two types geared for kids, and the jars were almost empty. There was a home baked cake. One tiny dish with one type of home made jam. Butter in small packets as in restaurants. Fresh watered down orange juice. Fresh bread, which was delicious. Ham and cheese, and chorizo, nothing fancy. And coffee. And we were always asked if we wanted milk. My son chose to bring his Nutella to breakfast so he could eat something he liked. The food was very limited, in small quantities and the staff were very abrupt - everyone felt a bit scared of asking for anything. Definitely not "Turismo Rural". In relation to the house, the Television did not work and there was an unpleasant sewage smell after 2 days using toilets. There was no one around to help at 7.30pm. We never met the owner. Strange place. But beautiful view, for which I paid an excessive amount.
