Very uncomfortable! It could be an awesome experience if the seats are improved. It's certainly not a coincidence that the guides seat is different from all others. Not only he's chair is elevated, it also has a nice back support providing a comfortable seating position and also making it easier to padle. The route has a nice view and if you are in good shape it's not difficult.

Iain is a special guide, caring and considerate of all that he takes on his bikes. The experience was unique and unforgettable.

An incredibly lovely way to spend a couple hours in a magical, uncrowded corner of Portugal. I did the two-hour sunset ride with my 7-year-old son and he hasn't stopped talking about it since. And the people who run this rail bike company, along with their bar, are just wonderful. Can't recommend this highly enough if you venture to the Marvao area (along with the Portagem river swimming hole - incredible!)
