In May 2018, the Mayor of Novosibirsk signed a decree on assigning the name of the park, located at the intersection of Chaplygin - Serebrennikovskaya - Oktyabrskaya streets in the Central District, to the park of student detachments. This decision was made by the commission for assigning names to elements of the road network (with the exception of federal highways, highways of regional or intermunicipal importance), names to elements of the planning structure within the city of Novosibirsk.
