Tire inflation would not be in the way
The emergence of Bashneft was promoted by the development of the oil industry in Bashkiria, the beginning of which was the opening on May 16, 1932 under the direction of engineer-geologist Alexey Blokhin of the Ishimbay oil field on the territory of the modern city Ishimbay.
Bashneft was established in 1946 on the basis of Bashneftekhimkombinat. The association included the Ishimbayneft trusts (the very first), Tuymazaneft, Bashnefterazvedka, Bashnefestroy, the Ishimbay machine-building plant and the Krasny Proletary plant, Bashnefteproekt and Bashtekhsnabneft.
In 1954, the union came out on top in the USSR among oil-producing associations.
In 1975, it was renamed to Bashneft Production Association, since 1995 - open joint stock company.
Privatization of the company (2002)
In 2002, the Bashneft companies, as well as Bashkirnefteprodukt, the Ufa Oil Refinery, Ufaneftekhim, Ufaorgsintez and Novoil, privatized the family to unknown companies, and then transferred them to Bashkir Capital, the Urals being the main beneficiary. Rakhimov, son of Murtaza Rakhimov, former president of the Republic of Bashkortostan in 1993–2010. In 2003, the Court of Auditors assessed this fact as “an unprecedented case of theft of assets from state property.” Until April 2009, it was believed that control of the company belonged to the structures of Ural Rakhimov, who controlled the company through a number of organizations.
In 2005, 25 percent stakes in six enterprises of the Bashkir fuel and energy complex, including Bashneft, were acquired by Sistema for $ 600 million. In 2009, Sistema bought controlling stakes in these enterprises for $ 2.5 billion. Money is considered , received four funds with the names "Ural", "Agidel", "Inzer" and "Yuryuzan".
In 2009, Bashneft became the managing company for Ufa Oil Refinery OJSC, Novoil OJSC, Ufaneftekhim OJSC, Ufaorgsintez OJSC, since 2010 - for Bashkirnefteproduct OJSC and for 2012 - for Orenburgnefteprodukt .
In 2009, a subsidiary company, Bashneft-Dobycha, was established, which unites NGDU Ishimbayneft, NGDU Arlanneft, NGDU Krasnokholmskneft, NGDU Tuimazaneft, NGDU Ufaneft and NGDU Chekmagushneft.
In December 2010, the company, offering for licenses 18.476 billion rubles, was declared the winner in the virtually failed competition for the right to develop large oil fields named after Roman Trebs and the name of Anatoly Titov. Thus, Bashneft was able to circumvent the clear favorites - Rosneft, Surgutneftegaz and Lukoil. The total recoverable reserves and resources of oil at these fields are 89.73 million tons for category C1, 50.33 million tons for category C2 and 59.29 million tons for category C3. Later, in April 2011, Bashneft signed an agreement with Lukoil to establish a joint venture to develop these fields, the joint venture itself was created at the end of 2011.
As of February 2011, the controlling stake in the company (61.29% of the vote) belonged to Sistema JSFC, and another 25% to Sistema-invest.
Mergers and Acquisitions
In April 2011, Bashneft acquired 94.041% of Orenburgnefteprodukt OJSC shares from RussNeft (100% ordinary and 76.16% of preferred shares). According to sources close to the leadership of the parties to the transaction, Bashneft paid slightly less than $ 100 million for the asset. Orenburgnefteprodukt is the largest supplier of petroleum products in the Orenburg region (according to the company's website), unites 93 filling stations and 16 oil depots.
In March 2014, Bashneft bought 100% of LLC Burneftegaz, which conducts oil exploration and production in the Tyumen Region. The amount of the transaction exceeded $ 1 billion. The acquired company owns the right to develop two sections - East-Vuemsky and Tortasinsky, on the territory of which two fields were discovered, the total recoverable reserves of which exceed 53 million tons of oil. In addition, Burneftegaz owns exploration licenses in the North-Ityakhsky and East-Unorsky areas. The company's revenue for 2012 - 356 million rubles, net loss - 107.5 million rubles.
Convenient location, reasonable prices.
