The decision to build the House of Artists was made in 1950, as a recognition of the merits of the Omsk organization of the Union of Artists. Construction began in 1951 according to the project of E. A. Stepanov. The building is located in the historic city center. The windows offer beautiful views of the confluence of the Omi River in the Irtysh. The main thing is the northern facade of the building. The House of Artists houses the premises of the branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, exhibition halls and workshops. In the Artist’s House there was a personal exhibition of the honored worker of culture of the Omsk region A. Kapralov, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the artist. The exhibition is very interesting. A. Kapralov works with black welded metal - a truly masculine material. The exhibition presents complex compositions, where the whole is assembled from small components. The abundance of characters and details is impressive.

Periodically came to see the work of young artists and thematic exhibitions. The exhibition hall is small, but due to its division into sections it turns out to place large volumes of material. Prices for the exhibition vary, often admission is free. I was at the exhibition of the Impressionists - I recommend to visit (it will last until the end of July 2019), very high-quality reproductions and good descriptions of paintings.
