St. Nicholas Cossack Cathedral

Brick single-domed church with a bell tower, a good example of the Empire style (original project of V.P. Stasov). It was built in 1833-1843 in the care of the Siberian Cossack army as a military church. Side thrones Simeon-Anninsky and St. George. It was closed in 1929, partially rebuilt, occupied by a cinema, in the 1970s it was restored to a concert hall. Divine services were resumed in 1991, since 1998 it has been completely restored by the diocese.

This is a temple with a rich history and its own special architecture. And I really want to see it updated and refreshed after repair.

Beautiful bell ringing! The ringer is a real artisan. On Sunday, we enjoyed the overflows from the bell tower at 5 p.m.

I will describe only the exterior and surrounding area. One of the most beautiful and picturesque cathedrals of the city, distinguished from the rest by its conciseness, surrounded by a no less beautiful park. I can recommend this place for work in the open air, steam and single walks.
