Military Resurrection Cathedral

Brick temple in the Omsk fortress, the first stone building of the city. It was built in 1769-1773 as a fortress cathedral. It was a rectangular two-tiered building with a tented bell tower above the western entrance, decorated in the Baroque style. There was no special dome over the main volume; the heads stood above the side gables. Side chapels Sergievsky and Catherine, under the choirs Smolensky chapel. Closed in 1928, occupied by the military department, weddings are broken. Torn down 1950s In the beginning. 2000s the place of the cathedral is marked by a memorable cross.
