The museum contains exhibits that give an idea of ​​the history of the development of Nizhny Tagil and the Gornozavod administrative district since ancient times. Among them are the products of the great Tagil engineers, portraits and sculptures of the Demidov breeders, rare exhibits made of Tagil metal, products released under the brand name "Old Sable" and much more.

The Museum of History and Local Lore is very interesting! Located next to public transport, there is ample parking. The museum is a two-story building, very interesting inside, beautiful bright rooms ... If possible, take an excursion, no one will remain indifferent))) Very well reveals the history of the Tagil region. Among the exhibits there are archaeological finds that are perfectly preserved in peat bogs, a collection of picturesque portraits, a model of the Cherepanov steam locomotive, wonderful icons, books, sculptures, coins, dishes, malachite, old photographs ... and much, much more ... You will also learn the history of the meeting of Peter I and Demidov, the Mansi rituals, hear about Ermak, where malachite was used and what it led to ... On the second floor, there are many icons from already defunct temples. Icons of an interesting and even unusual shape, there is also a 3in1 icon, this is when you look from three sides and see a new image ... Our guide was Anna Sergeevna Rylova, many thanks to her !!! The child was satisfied, there were no questions at the end of the excursion. The time was pleasant and interesting. We recommend visiting the museum to friends and acquaintances)))
