The museum-plant was founded in 1987, on the squares of the old Demidov iron-making plant, which produced metal for almost 3 centuries: from the end of 1725 to the mid-80s of the XX century. The history of the development of metallurgy from the time of the Demidov breeders to the Soviet era, a full production cycle is presented on the premises of the museum-plant. This object is a unique industrial monument that has no analogues in Russia.
