The classical traditions of stone-cutting and foundry art of the Urals are worthily embodied in the open bowl of another fabulous flower, intricately beaten by a fountain, which was planted in the distant 1936, with beating water jets. We are in Pioneer Square in Nizhny Tagil, where a monumental sculpture based on the tale of the Ural writer P. P. Bazhov “Stone Flower” is located. The fountain was the first in the city and received its decoration only in the early 1950s. It is made of Ural ornamental stone in the form of a "stone flower". Students from the stone-cutting department of the Ural Art and Industrial School (now the Ural School of Applied Arts) under the guidance of V.N. Gorokhov and Burilko.
