Church. It is valid. Thrones: Nicholas the Wonderworker Year Built: Between 1998 and 1999. Architect: V. P. Kovalev Address: Russia, Chelyabinsk region, Chelyabinsk, st. Montazhnikov, 7a (territory of LKU-3) Coordinates: 55.250396, 61.422935 Directions: Travel by tram number 19 to the stop. "Installation management" or buses No.№ 26, 41, 82 to the stop. "Motor depot number 1". Located in the Metallurgical region on the territory of the medical institution LKU-3. The church was founded in January 1998 according to the project of V.P. Kovaleva (with the participation of D.V. Kovalev, designer Zh.Yu. Cherneva). The building is made of red brick with recessed joints. The church is pillarless, triceps with a belfry and one semicircular apse. The main square volume is covered by a cylindrical vault closed by a gable roof. Above the western part of the church is a belfry decorated with a high arch. There are narrow arches on both sides of the arch, and above it are three small niches. The belfry is three-stage, serves as a pedestal for the three heads on deaf drums, is the silhouette completion of the western facade and the entire volume as a whole. The main entrance is solved in the form of a promising portal with a canopy, decorated with decorative metal elements. Plastic facades of the temple is achieved due to the relief masonry. The decorative decoration of the western facade is a combination of unconventional archivolt windows and frames of the belfry arch. The interior of the church (iconostasis, chandelier) was made by the company “Kitezh” (EV Safronov). Icons painted by N.V. Chekotina. The church was consecrated on March 12, 1999. The construction of the building was carried out by the company “Stalstroy” (Yu.V. Desyatkov).
