Hostel RED

Nice Hostel with brilliant and lovely staff. The location is good, although the surroundings are a bit dodgy... The walls are quite thin, so that's -1 star, but nothing earplugs couldn't fix. Everything is clean and tidy. Keep up the good work!

We arrived from the train at 10:30pm after having called the property earlier that same day to confirm our reservation and let them know of our late arrival. Upon coming to the hostel we were greeted by two teenage workers at the front desk who unapologetically informed us that the hostel is full and our pre-booked double room has been GIVEN AWAY, claiming they couldn’t reach us by phone to let us know. When we questioned how it could be that a room which we have reserved and confirmed earlier that day was simply given away, we were answered with defensive attitude by the young gentleman repeatedly claiming “it wasn’t me who did it”. The staff did NOT apologize even once and instead had a defensive attitude as if it is our fault. They then relocated us to a different hostel of their chain, saying the cab price is on them. Wow, thanks. Have to say that the hostel they relocated us to, ARRIVA hostel, had the most friendly and accommodating staff, and the stay was comfortable. In summary, shocked and disappointed.

The location is 5 stars, very close to everything you need, Dinamo metro station is just a minute walk, city center is just one metro stop. Stadium is in walking distance. Rooms are cozy, but the toilets are not always clean, which is a big downfall. The kitchen, living area and dinner area is great and clean, with everything you need to have fridge, microwave, oven, etc... TV, playstation 4, card games, magazines and books, etc... A very pleasant time spent. If not for the toilet issue, I would give it a full mark.

Having booked a month in advance, that booking confirmed and informed the place about a late arrival, it‘s pretty uncool when that booking got „lost“ and there is no room available. This is not acceptable. Mistakes can happen - that’s ok. Then they failed in getting an alternative accommodation: there was no taxi at the road of the hostel, which was supposed to bring me to another place. Not cool, when it’s like 11pm.

This Hotel is very impressive hotel. Fare is proper and facilities are very good. Also manager speak English and kind.
