I would like to return the old name to the city

Visited the tour "Wagon 2019" on the eve of the new year. The route was in the city by tram, an excellent guide Natalia told about the city, about the people who lived in Ulyanovsk. The continuation of the program was in the museum of the printing house. You can see the machines for printing, as well as try it yourself! Photo zones are organized in each hall of the museum. Thematic exhibition dedicated to the Mother's Day in one of the halls did not leave anyone indifferent! They played forfeits, taught quadrille, enjoyed tea from a samovar! A wonderful program for the family. With great pleasure we will return again!

We got acquainted with the history of printing in the museum of the Simbirsk printing house and the musical life of Simbirsk. I admit, I was very impressed with the incredible work that had to be done in order to print one page of text 😮 It was very unusual to plunge at this time (because XIX - n. XX century) and feel such an abyss in the lives of people and our time. 16-hour working day, working in incredibly difficult conditions, a very limited circle of people who can read and write - well, we live in a wonderful time - these were my thoughts And I thought about how valuable books were at that time , if for their manufacture it took so much effort. I really hope that their value will return to our life 😃 The second part of the museum is dedicated to the musical life of Simbirsk. It was very interesting to get acquainted with various musical instruments of that time. Especially I was impressed by the automatic piano! This is something like a tape recorder, only very large. Music is recorded on a punched tape and when it is played - the piano keys are pressed by themselves - the impression is that the cast plays 👻 And at the same time, you can play it like on a regular piano

There is no guide. They remembered how many exhibits there are. In total, I got a ticket. Itself passed. Taking pictures was forbidden.
