In Kashin there is an interesting local history museum with very rare and interesting exhibits. I saw a rotary clock here for the first time, and a figurine with a composition for combing out lice.

Small but nice museum. There are interesting documents - among them, for example, a passport and a foreign passport of the 19th century, it is interesting to read the cat, there were no photographs then. Interesting household items. It costs only 100 rubles per adult.

I highly recommend it to everyone, if you are going to Kashin on your own, start with a local history museum and be sure to take a guide to the museum. Firstly, it is very exciting and informative, you will be told such details and details from the history of the city and museum exhibits that, simply walking around the museum, you will never know. A walk around the city itself after this excursion turned into a kind of quest for us "Find a place, a tablet, a house, etc. from an excursion". Unfortunately, we don’t remember the name of that pleasant male guide, he’s also a senior researcher at the museum, but the guys, however, do not spare the money for the tour, it's worth it.
