Arkhangelsk regional museum

You may still be excited to know more about the Zaporizhian Cossacks, and in which case this museum has all the background you could wish for. The highlights of the collection are Zaporizhian weapons and everyday items unearthed on Khortytsia and other sites in the region. There are also much older artefacts, recovered from local Bronze Age barrows and Scythian jewellery from the Iron Age. Beyond this is a large coin collection, while the museum also explores the natural history of the Zaporizhia Oblast, with some interesting paleontological specimens from the Neogene period.

Extraordinary photos of ordinary people. These are simple people, but the hand of the master has erased their beauty and kindness. Their eyes shine and the photographer was able to capture this light and give it to us. The women of Egypt are mysterious and beautiful. Hurry up before the photo exhibitions run out!

Great museum! Collected and beautifully designed, which is especially pleasant, unique collections for various thematic events related to the history of development, exploration, conquest of the Russian North and Arkhangelsk. There are many rooms, really 2-3 hours. There is an audio guide, a lot of information to read at the stands. It is a pity that there was no excursion, but even without it a strong impression remained, thanks! Definitely a visit, I recommend!

The museum is large, there are a lot of expositions, but the structure is too intricate, sometimes it is difficult to grasp the connection between the individual exhibition halls.
