Interesting museum about military history.

This is a great war museum to visit, buy the local people and the tourists. You will find a great amount of history that is interesting to learn about. The exhibits are stunning and the war machines on display are great. So take the time and come have a look in and around the museum.

The museum for the Central Armed Forces is for me, probably the most interesting museum I have visited in Moscow. The building is stuffed with war paraphernalia as well as vehicles, ornaments and statues that cover Russia's and the Soviet Union's exploits throughout time. If you are interested in the history of warfare this is the place to go. I would however recommend non-Russian speakers to be familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet or else get a guide since most of the signs are exclusively written in Russian.

This is a wonderful museum to visit for those interested in Russian history, history of firearms, development of armored vehicles, and heavy weapons. The museum will offer exhaustive information about uniforms, flags, medals, ranks, etc. for periods starting with 14-15 centuries to the post-Soviet time. As other reviewers noticed, the information sheets are only in Russian. I did test Google translate, Russian to English: the automated translations were sufficient to at least get a good idea about what was displayed, and we're accurate enough. So I wouldn't worry about the language barrier.
