Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center

Must see in Moscow . Modern technology . Not all in English .

This museum is one of the best museums I've ever been to. You can easily spend here 8+ hours reading and watching information on the history of Jewish people. I'm highly recommending this place to visit if you are in Moscow.

A great history lesson of the Jews from the whole of the Eastern European region. You'll walk away having been exposed to a very powerful experience. The museum provides an in-depth understanding of the history of Ashkenazi Jews. This was an incredible place to visit. Calling it a museum doesn’t do it justice as it was truly an interactive educational experience. I began with 4D movie that had special effects. Then each exhibit had some type of film, music, or something to swipe to give you a choice over what you wanted to see and learn. It started with basic Judaism but then the exhibits explored the Jewish experience in Russia throughout the decades. They even had a room set up as an apartment in the 1960s. Of course lots on pogroms and WWII but some positive stuff too. I thought we’d spend maybe an hour there. We spent over two and didn’t get bored or even see everything. The museum is state of the art, engaging, and educational. It was a wonderful visit. Thank you!
