The largest male monastery, founded in 1397 by Kirill Belozersky. There are 11 temples of the 15-18 centuries, the relics of Kirill Belozersky, the worship cross that Kirril brought from Moscow has survived, there are also interesting museum expositions. The territory of the monastery is large, very picturesque, located on the shore of Lake Siverskoye. I really liked the guide Andrei Valerievich Tsvetkov, friendly and hospitable, he knows a lot and is happy to share information on the history of Russia, the monastery, icon painting, local crafts and folk traditions, and answers any questions. I would like to come here again.
