Very unusual. I remember even more than the Sofia Cathedral. Sample church architecture of the 18th century. Earlier (Soviet and post-Soviet times), the cathedral was part of the complex of the regional art gallery, and restoration work is currently underway. However, you can attend the service and admire the partially restored interior of the cathedral now. (the gallery is good, but it is better that the fragile paintings with paintings were kept in a specially equipped building with a precisely maintained climate regime).

Previously, the cathedral housed an art gallery. I was surprised that the cathedral is now open.
