Very interesting local museum... Especially for the local painters and temporary exhibition... Of course the ladies at the tickets office are bored and not really keen to help you. they prefer chit chats and write self-service cloakroom... No comments ;-)

Really nice collection of Karelian art and paintings. It tells you a lot about the place and the lives of people over there. Not to forget the beauty of the nature that surrounds this region and how the nature affects the everyday lives of the people. On the lower floor there are 4 rooms with paintings dedicated to the 4 seasons respectively. On the floor above there are many Icon paintings and traditional dresses and crafts.

visited the exhibition "Russian North". liked. took an audio guide 100 rubles. talks about some of the creative moments of artists (you can not take it). there are few people. ticket 300 rubles. Everything is quiet and calm.

I quite liked it. The museum presents the originals of works by Roerich, Kuindzhi, Shishkin, etc. Also, a small section is devoted to the everyday life of the ancient Karelians, products of birch bark craft and weaving are presented. Laconic and enough to get a dose of aesthetic pleasure and broaden your horizons. Interesting souvenirs, reproductions and books can be bought as a keepsake.

Do you want to wander in peace and tranquility while enjoying the beauty? Then be sure to visit this museum. There are permanent exhibitions, there are changing ones.
