For the first time the village of Blagoveshchensk is mentioned in documents of 1683 dated June 28. An extract from the acts of the Kholmogorsky and Ustyug dioceses speaks of the main object of the village - the Church of the Annunciation. A church was built in the first half of the 18th century with the care of parishioners. In 1931 the church was closed. After closing, the classrooms of the local school were placed in its premises. Until 1932, the school was elementary, later reorganized into a seven-year-old. In the 40s, the village fell into decay and desolation. A severe imprint was left by the Great Patriotic War.
