Peaceful and delightful park and forested .. best of all pay the little extra and visit the amazing vegetable and herb/apothecary gardens.

Huge interesting park offering lots of things to do. Make sure you wrap up warm in winter as it is quite cold. Take a camera as lots of beautiful things to photograph.

This is a real gem located 40 minutes away from St. Pete. If you are tired of the crowd on the nevsky prospect, then here is your salvation. You can enjoy picturesque trails, gardens and a palace the Russian elite used to admire. You can visit all the worthwhile places in half a day. They rent boats and bikes there. No helmets though. Bikes are of a good quality. Rental is 500 rubles an hour for an adult mountain bike. It can get pretty hilly there, so wear comfortable shoes. I would highly recommend visiting this park. You can get there by taking a train from Vitebsky station in St. Petersburg. It will stop right by the entrance to the park. During summer hours it's open till 11pm. From 9pm the entrance is free.

This park has a lot of oaks instead maples and lindens, so in autumn it is more brown than yellow and red. But still, it is best landscape parc around Sankt-Peterburg, and may be in Russia.
