The Church of the Deposition comes from the village of Borodav, the former patrimony of the Ferapontov Monastery. It was built by Archbishop Joasaph of Rostov, judging by the antimension, in 1485. This small, outwardly unsightly wooden structure excels in its antiquity all the glorified stone buildings of the North and belongs to the simplest and most ancient type of wooden religious architecture of Rus - the cage temples. The main part of the church is an ordinary cage, that is, a simple log house of small dimensions, characteristic of folk dwellings - huts. The eastern altar part of it is lowered, and from the west is attached a low additional log cabin, which served as a refectory, the room of which even exceeds the size of the church. An open gallery-porch with a porch bypasses the refectory from the south and west. The outward appearance of the Church of the Deposition is simple and modest and retains the features of ordinary habitation. In this sense, its wavy windows are characteristic - narrow, cut in two adjacent logs and pushed from the inside by a board. Only three larger window openings have "skewed" platbands. The usual flat roof of the refectory is typical of the northern huts. Actually the temple has a high steep roof with a broad police (a flatter part) along the edges; in the center of the ridge it is cut a head on a round neck with a "scaly" covering with a shingle.

Wooden church, covered with a triangular tent to protect against rain. It is in the stage of sluggish restoration, inspection even outside is difficult.
