The Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is one of the most beautiful churches in the city. Located on the right bank of the Vorozhi. Year of church construction: between approximately 1690 and 1694. Prior to the construction of the stone church, several churches were replaced at this place. The first wooden church, built with funds from the parishioners of Posad, appeared here during the reign of John IV. The architectural appearance of the temple is somewhat unusual. In terms of it is a "ship". Until 1935, the church remained operational. In 1936-1937, a flour warehouse was arranged in it. Then they took it in turn: in 1940, a flax production warehouse, in 1944, a mushroom and berry warehouse, and in 1945, a grain warehouse. And finally, in 1958, the Annunciation Church was transferred to the museum.

Beautiful, unusual temple with a very positive energy. Located in such a beautiful place that I wanted to draw it. And if she knew a little bit, she would certainly have done it.

The church, of course, is beautiful, but putting it in order would not hurt. Once upon a time, the bell tower was first restored, but until the turn reached the church itself, the bell tower was already dilapidated. Now a little tinted, but the condition of the building is not the best. Although the main thing is that they began to conduct services and this is already good.
