After the repair and reconstruction of the Vereshchagin quarter, it became very beautiful!

I like this museum so much that we shot our wedding photo shoot there! Guides are very emotional! In total, I visited the museum 4 times in a few years. The atmosphere is unusual, you plunge at that time. Many original paintings, but they are, of course, very small. Reproductions are presented in one of the rooms by huge printed canvases on a retractable system. Of course, they have already faded and cannot convey the full power of Vereshchagin’s technique, but the one who invented it is well done. In other museums I have not seen this. The caretakers of the museum are madly in love with Vereshchagin’s work, this is felt as soon as you cross the threshold of the house-museum. The general impression is very pleasant, I want to periodically go in there, which I do from time to time - you relax with your soul.

Nice museum. The guide works even with one person. With us, the guide conducted a tour, spoke in detail and interestingly about the fate of the members of the Vereshchagins family. I liked the garden near the house. It's nice to go there in the summer.

The world famous artist Vasily Vereshchagin. It turns out that his older brother Nikolai has developed and introduced a method for producing Vologda oil, which we still buy in the store. And he was friends with D. Mendeleev. I learned all this in the museum
