Nothing better than arriving by boat, this is what cruises on the Volga allow. This monastery was built in 1544 by Princess Euphrosyne Staritskaya, aunt of Yvan the Terrible. It is a female Orthodox convent. Her political setbacks mean that she will have the obligation to take the veil under the name of: Mother Eudoxie. It was a remarkable embroiderer, these creations can be seen at the Russian Museum in Saint Petersburg.
