The museum is located in a wooden wing (1890-1891), owned by the Borisov-Musatov family. In this house the artist lived and worked, coming for the summer from Moscow and Paris. Here he settled in 1898, returning from France, and lived until the autumn of 1903, until his final departure from Saratov.
