Thanks to the difference in the height of the roof and the glass dome - the lantern managed to illuminate the trading floor with full daylight and create the impression of spaciousness. For installation on the facades of the Covered Market, an electric clock was specially ordered by the P. Buret trading house. Such sculptors as V.K.Fyodorov, P.F.Dunduk, Sofya Reztsova worked on the design of the facades, pupils of the Bogolyubov Drawing School also took part in the design. The building, executed in the Art Nouveau architectural style, gave new expressive features to the architectural ensemble of Saratov at the beginning of the 20th century, without getting out of the general appearance of the city. The indoor market was rightfully recognized as one of the best not only in Saratov, but also in Russia, becoming a real "architectural masterpiece" of the early XX century [2].
