The building of the Tsaritsynsky Pumping Station has survived to our time. The choice of this place was determined exclusively by economic expediency, sanitary and environmental factors were not taken into account in general. The most effective at that time was such a water intake device, which would ultimately shorten the length of the pipes. That is why the water pump was built among the steamer piers with the depth of the pipe only 4 meters. The data of chemical-bacteriological studies carried out in Tsaritsyn in August 1910 are preserved. The results of the investigations established then that the water intake site is one of the most dirty in terms of the presence of microbes in the water in Tsaritsyn. "Tsaritsynsky Vestnik" in August 1910 wrote about this: "On August 9, in the chemical bacteriological laboratory of pharmacist Zabello, an analysis of drinking water was made. Water was taken for analysis from different places, but neither cholera nor typhoid rods were found in it. But still, water for drinking is considered unsatisfactory. The largest number of colonies of different microbes was found in the mouth of the Tsarina (18050), near the Volga shore (3840) and under the sucker (2560) ".

The building is old with an inscription that it is a water pumping station. BUT the building is now the administration of housing and communal services! Where do the excursions go? (((
