We specially stopped at the village of Veshenskaya to visit the Sholokhov Museum. This is the house in which the writer and his wife lived until his death; in the courtyard of the house on the banks of the Don is the grave of Sholokhov and his wife. The house itself is large and bright, but not all rooms are open to visitors. A guided tour costs 350r (house, summer kitchen, garage and garden). The only thing I didn’t like was that the guide spoke rather dryly, without interesting details. In this village it is worth visiting the embankment, where the sculpture of Aksinya and Gregory from "Quiet Don" is located, the museum of Cossack life and the house-museum where the writer lived when he came to Veshenskaya until he settled here completely.

This is certainly an interesting and beautifully restored State Museum, I advise everyone to visit it!
