Radisson Resort, Zavidovo

Surrounded by a forest and standing next to a river bank, it is a great retreat just an hours drive from Moscow. The rooms are clean and well equipped. There's a surfstation nearby and you can even windsurf at 10-12 knots if you're lucky. Service was somewhat disappointing: my ask for an extra soap bar and shaving kit was blantly rejected ("it's hotel amenities, we don't provide that"). I also asked to purchase a croissant an hour before the counter opening. It was already 10 AM, but the staff just said it was impossible, redirected me to the room service. Room service didn't have them on menu either. I definitely got healthier but not happier:). We also found that horizontal noise isolation leaves much to be desired. One evening I was awoken by a neighbor who was talking to her mother by the phone and I could follow her conversation through the wall. Minor thing is WiFi which was available at one specific spot of the room with just one bar. Laggy LTE renders the place unsuitable if one decided to work from there. Room service menu was rather concise, so we ordered all fish (no meat) courses at the first evening, and we had to visit other restaurants the following days. Cleaning was once every three days - I guess it's anti-covid mesure - but it doesn't add up any comfort either. On the positive side, the views and the river covers for those drawbacks and we'd love to see the place improve to return back at some point.

A quiet pleasant place to relax from the city and assist at some business conferences at the same time A very good place outside Moscow's fuss and noise where despite any weather conditions you could factually relax and receive some energy from the very nature. The hotel's territory is huge and well-organised for walking around. The staff is polite and tries to settle your requests asap. Its rooms seem to be large and well-equipped, furniture is not old and balconies are cute enough. Good light inside rooms, large TVs with a good selection of channels in English; Wi-Fi functions reliably. Not bad breakfast within a vast and bright restaurant. Its spa-complex is interesting with a sauna and a hamam and even a swimming pool where it's possible really to swim and not only to bath :). Only one factual weak point is its gym; seems to be equipped better :). Overall, if you could explore your corporate tariffs there - just enjoy it :)
