We are one of the suppliers to Volga Tannery. Its not a good company. Their havent paid us since past 1 year for the materials they have purchased and used. Dont work with them.

Good leather tannery in Russia. Founded in 1730 Volga Tannery is the oldest tannery in Russia. In 1812 during the Great Patriotic War, boots for Russian soldiers were made of Ostashkov quality leather. After the war the Russian tsar Alexander I conferred a title of nobility to K. A. Savin, the tannery owner at that time, and awarded the manufacture with a sign of Russian Coat of Arms. The tannery’s products were honored with medals at industrial exhibitions in Vienna (1873), Paris (1877) and Glasgow (1901). In 1934 the tannery won a contract to manufacture leather to upholster seats in the first line of Moscow subway. In 1943 State Defense Committee awarded the factory with the Red Banner. In 1975 the tannery’s products earned Quality Mark of the USSR. In 2001 the tannery took the lead in terms of volumes of raw materials processing in Russia, in 2003 it was certified as “The Best Manufacturer of the Year” at the 20th Federal wholesale fair of goods and equipment for clothing and footwear industry. From 2003 through 2012, the company was repeatedly got the title “The Best Russian Exporter”.
