Very informative and interesting. We took an individual excursion for four for 2800 rubles. The excursion included a visit to the Borisoglebsk Monastery, a pedestrian part with a visit to the oldest wooden Resurrection Church and a visit to the permanent exhibition of the museum. We learned a lot and enjoyed the wonderful views of Torzhok. The monastery has a Candle Tower - an excellent vantage point, climbing it costs 100 rubles per person.

Located in the city center next to the pedestrian bridge. There are 3 exhibitions all the time and there is a hall with changing expositions. Very friendly museum staff! Employees do a lot to preserve historical information about the city and past events, starting from the 12th century! And if our children study on such a schedule as in the photo, then Russia will generally be ahead of the rest of the planet)))

There are a lot of interesting archaeological finds, ranging from the first stone axes, knives, pagan amulets and household items, and ending with Tsarist Russia, the USSR and artifacts of the Second World War, such as the Mosin rifle, Nagant, German and Soviet aircraft cannon, German sapper shovel, German helmet, etc. found near the city.

Of the interesting only birch bark letters. The rest is the same as in any other local history museum.

I really liked the museum. I note the high professionalism of the guide Ivanov Andrey. It is immediately obvious that a person is an enthusiast in his field. It’s a pleasure to listen to him.
