Another pitiful sight of the old town of Torzhok - one of the Imperial traveling palaces along the Moscow-Petersburg highway, built in 1776 by decree of Catherine II. It was used for its intended purpose until 1827. Then the building was taken over by the city authorities for the hospital and educational home, but in 1830 the city authorities transferred the palace to the Vladimir Uhlan regiment. A decade later, the palace was rebuilt and in the late 1850s a women's school was opened here, later transformed into a gymnasium. After the revolution, the building was also used for educational purposes. Now it is an abandoned, decaying object for many years.

Would be a solid 10 if it was restored

Passed by and did not even pay attention, did not take a picture. The city has many such old abandoned houses. There is not even a sign that this is a historical monument of architecture.

Entrance to the territory is closed, and it was once beautiful, about 250 years ago. Before rebuilding the building was used as a school. Street with a traveling palace in an abandoned state.
