This stone church is located west of the cathedral above the inner monastery gates. Built in the 17th century. In the iconostasis of this temple, on the northern doors, depicts St. Archangel Raphael, and on the south - the king of Salim, Melchizedek. In the vast porch of this temple was a lid from the ancient crayfish of St. Jacob Borovichsky, in which he rested. To this church, on the one hand, adjoins the Treasury stone two-story building, built in the 17th century. Adjacent to this building is a high stone tower, with a tent-shaped hexagonal top; called the "Nikon", decorated at the top with a gilded single-headed eagle. According to the monastery legend, this tower housed the Kuteinsky printing house. On the other hand, this church is adjoined by a two-story stone fraternal building, called "Nikonovsky", also built in the XVII century. In this building, while staying in the Iberian monastery, His Holiness Patriarch Nikon lived.

The one-domed temple with galleries on the sides and with a travel arch in the center is part of the mid-line complex of the monastery, dividing the territory into eastern and western parts. This decision was first implemented in a tree. In the 1680s, Athanasius Fomin realized this in stone, erecting the Holy Gates with the Church of St. Michael the Archangel, the Treasury and the Mikhailovsky Tower. In the 19th century, the gates and the church underwent alterations having lost their original appearance. The subsequent Soviet period, when the monastery was turned into a labor colony and then into a military hospital, contributed to the complete destruction of the picturesque decor of the facade and the decoration of the historical interior. In the 1960s and 80s, repairs were carried out at the facility, which saved the building from complete destruction. In 2007, a full restoration was carried out at the facility.
