The Crucifix Cathedral, founded in 1718, was built at the expense of Princess N.M. Gagarina. It was supposed that this would be a large four-pillar cathedral, but N.M.’s death Gagarina prevented the implementation of plans. The work was suspended at the ground floor level, and the domed completion appeared, most likely, in the 2nd half of the 18th century. Currently, the cathedral building is slowly being restored.
