Church of the Epiphany

In 1578 a wooden church in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker stood on the site of this temple. In 1624, it was replaced by a wooden church in the name of the Great Martyr Paraskeva. In 1794, instead of a wooden one, Prime Minister Ya.M. Maslov built a stone temple in the style of early classicism in honor of the Epiphany of God with the chapel of the martyr Paraskeva in the bell tower. The temple combined the refined architecture with elegance and wealth of jewelry. In Soviet times, the temple was ravaged. October 25, 1991 the church was transferred to the community of believers and the restoration began. Special thanks to Father Vitaly, who is currently the priests of this church.

The church is unique in that it has two thrones; this is rarely found in church architecture. Very cozy temple!
