Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Medvedki. According to Pedivikia, the village of Medvedki was founded in the 17th century. At the end of the 18th century, the military collegium executor A.I. Velyaminov rebuilt his estate here (and died in 1794). His widow, at her own expense, in 1795 built a church (so that I could live like this) with two side-altars: in the name of St. Sergius and St. Dmitry of Rostov (it was abolished). Right behind the church, a graveyard has been laid out, on which, by the way, old gravestones have been preserved, but it turned out to be impossible for me to read what is written on them. In 1888, at the expense of the landowner Batashev, the entire church was decorated with wall paintings. Like most churches, the temple was closed and destroyed during the Soviet era. Even 10 years ago, you could see the remains of frescoes, but now they are barely recognizable on the walls. Only the floor tiles are well preserved, covered with a decent layer of debris and dust. Unfortunately, this temple is unlikely to be restored, but, judging by the icons inside and by the fresh burials, they often come there.
