Behind the current building of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, there used to be a dismal slum place called Fyodorovsky Hill; "muddy place", at dusk it was better not to meddle there. Then they began to equip this hillock, and there appeared one of the numerous museums of V.I.Lenin in the USSR, corresponding to the revolutionary Soviet architecture and with the filling that relies on such a building. Other times have come. Now it is small in size. a well-equipped square, on which the former museum has now turned into a National Cultural Center with a stela of Freedom in front of the entrance, and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Tax Service (tax authorities) appeared next to the building of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. But most importantly, from the western side, the square is framed by an elite residential complex "Renaissance" - God, what is there not! And lions at the entrances, and Atlanteans, and stucco moldings with colonnades, and animals with birds ... Pretentious, to the point of chaos! Tasteless, disgraceful! Rich, obscene! Well, functionally, this square is like a buffer zone between the embankment and Freedom Square, located on the passage from one place to another: it is quieter, more local, more green, there is where to just sit, take a walk, take a breath ... ... and further - to explore Kazan ...

Very beautiful embankment with a beautiful view of the whole Kazan. Fountains, flower beds. Everything is clean, well-groomed and very beautiful. View! Gorgeous view!

Not a bad place to walk. The general mood is spoiled by many official institutions, as well as residential buildings in the "Pseudo-Baroque" style.
