There was a time when Svistunov so wanted to close this station in the 90s. The population was able to defend.

Penultimate Railway Station Kazan Volga. Then another - Volzhsk - and deadlock. Previously, especially in Soviet times, the railway was used very intensively - 5 trains per day. Be able to work or study in Kazan and ride though kady day. Today, residents of Volzhsk prefer to travel to Kazan by shuttle bus, which is strange: the train is more convenient and safer. Due to the low load chiso trains considerably reduced, which again forces the use avtotranrsportom.
