The church stands on the Aktai River. Originally the village of Burakovo was located there, but after a violent fire, the residents were forced to move to the other shore. The Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was built in 1839-1851 on the money of the landowner Princess Ekaterina Petrovna Khovanskaya. Originally, the temple project was commissioned by St. Petersburg architect Ivan Adolfovich Benzemann, but his project was not implemented due to lack of funds. As a result, the church was built according to the project of a close friend of Ekaterina Petrovna Alexander Pavlovich Bryullov - the brother of the outstanding artist Karl Pavlovich Bryullov. Icons, the iconostasis and wall paintings in the church were executed by students of Karl Pavlovich. A few years before the Great Patriotic War, the church was looted and closed. Currently, the building of the temple is in desolation. Access is free, but you have to climb a little to get inside. Inside, stucco molding, massive columns, remains of the painting remained.
